Ingredients

  • 8 count store-bought choux pastry shells (or cream puff shells)
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 box (3.4 oz) vanilla pudding mix (instant)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp water
  • ½ tsp lemon juice or white vinegar

Instructions

    Whisk pudding mix with milk in a bowl for 2 minutes until thickened and smooth.

    Whip heavy cream to stiff peaks in a separate bowl, then fold gently into pudding.

    Slice each pastry shell in half horizontally. Spoon or pipe 2 tbsp custard into the bottom half.

    Whisk powdered sugar with water and lemon juice until smooth, pale glaze forms.

    Sandwich the pastry tops closed, then drizzle glaze over each puff.
