Ingredients

  • ½ lb ground beef
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • ¼ small onion, minced
  • 1 whole lemon (juiced + zested)
  • 1 cup fresh arugula & dill

Instructions

  1. 1

Mix flour with salt, pepper, and 1/4 cup water. Knead until a soft dough forms, then divide into 2 balls.

  2. 2

Brown ground beef with minced onion over medium-high heat, breaking it up as it cooks, ~5 minutes.

  3. 3

Stir in tomato paste, lemon zest, salt, pepper, and a pinch of red pepper flakes. Cook 1 minute until fragrant.

  4. 4

Stretch each dough ball into a thin 8-inch circle on a sheet pan. Spread beef mixture evenly across each.

  5. 5

Bake at 450°F for 8-10 minutes until crust edges are golden and crispy.

  6. 6

Drizzle lemon juice over hot lahmacun. Top with fresh arugula and dill. Serve immediately.
