Ingredients

  • 8 whole sushi-grade shrimp
  • 1 teaspoon wasabi paste
  • 2 tablespoons pickled ginger
  • 4 sprigs fresh parsley leaves
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

Instructions

  1. 1

Peel and devein the 8 shrimp, leaving the tails on if desired. Rinse under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

Using a sharp knife, slice each shrimp horizontally into two thin pieces, keeping them attached at the tail for a fan effect.

  3. 3

Arrange the sliced shrimp on a chilled plate. Place the 1 teaspoon wasabi and 2 tablespoons pickled ginger on the side.

  4. 4

Garnish with the 4 parsley sprigs. Serve immediately with the 2 tablespoons soy sauce for dipping.
