Ingredients

  • ½ lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • ¼ lb pork slices (thinly sliced)
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. 1

In a small bowl, mix the 1 tbsp cornstarch with 2 tbsp water to make a slurry. Set aside.

  2. 2

In a clay pot or heavy pot, bring the 2 cups chicken broth and 2 tbsp soy sauce to a boil over medium-high heat.

  3. 3

Add the 0.25 lb pork slices and 2 cups broccoli florets. Cook until pork is no longer pink and broccoli is bright green, about 3 minutes.

  4. 4

Stir in the 0.5 lb shrimp and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 2 minutes.

  5. 5

Pour in the cornstarch slurry, stir, and simmer until the broth thickens slightly, about 1 minute. Serve hot over rice or noodles if desired.
