Ingredients
- 8 whole calamari tubes
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 1 bunch asparagus
- 2 tablespoons olive oil

In a bowl, mix 1 cup breadcrumbs with 1 minced garlic clove and 1 tbsp olive oil until crumbly. Stuff the mixture into 8 calamari tubes, filling each about three-quarters full.

Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the stuffed calamari and cook until lightly golden on all sides, about 3 minutes per side.

Pour 2 cups tomato sauce over the calamari and add 1 bunch asparagus (trimmed). Bring to a simmer, then cover and cook until calamari are tender and sauce is thickened, about 10 minutes.

Stir in the remaining 1 minced garlic clove and simmer uncovered for 2 more minutes until fragrant. Serve hot with extra sauce spooned over.
