Ingredients
- 1 lb waxy potatoes (about 1 lb)
- 4 links pork sausages (4 links, any style)
- ¼ small head cabbage, sliced thin
- 3 tbsp butter
- ¼ cup whole milk or cream
- ½ medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
Instructions
- 1
Cube potatoes into 1-inch pieces. Boil in salted water until fork-tender, about 10 minutes. Drain well.
- 2
While potatoes cook, brown sausages in a large skillet over medium-high, turning once, until golden and cooked through, about 8 minutes. Transfer to a plate.
- 3
In the same skillet, sauté sliced onion until soft and golden, about 3 minutes. Add sliced cabbage and stir until wilted and lightly caramelized, about 4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- 4
Return drained potatoes to skillet with butter and milk. Mash roughly until chunky and creamy, not smooth. Season to taste.
- 5
Slice sausages and fold into stoemp. Serve hot from the skillet, or divide between bowls and top with sausage.
