Ingredients

  • 1 lb squid, cleaned and cut into rings
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 medium carrot, julienned
  • 1 medium bell pepper, sliced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions

    In a small bowl, mix the 3 tbsp soy sauce and 1 tbsp gochujang until smooth. Set aside.

    Heat the 2 tbsp vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat until shimmering, about 1 minute.

    Add the 1 sliced onion, 1 julienned carrot, and 1 sliced bell pepper. Stir-fry until slightly softened, about 3-4 minutes.

    Add the 1 lb squid rings and the sauce mixture. Stir-fry until squid is opaque and just cooked through, about 2-3 minutes.

    Sprinkle with the 1 tsp sesame seeds and serve hot.
