Ingredients

  • 1 pound green beans
  • ½ pound ground pork
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 whole red chili
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. 1

Trim the ends off the 1 pound green beans and cut them into 2-inch pieces. Mince the 3 garlic cloves and thinly slice the 1 red chili.

  2. 2

Heat 1 tablespoon of the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the green beans and stir-fry until they are bright green and blistered in spots, about 4-5 minutes. Transfer to a plate.

  3. 3

Add the remaining 1 tablespoon oil to the skillet. Add the 0.5 pound ground pork and cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until browned and no longer pink, about 5-6 minutes.

  4. 4

Add the minced garlic and sliced chili to the pork. Stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  5. 5

Return the green beans to the skillet. Add the 2 tablespoons soy sauce and toss everything together for 1-2 minutes until the beans are coated and heated through.

  6. 6

Sprinkle with the 1 tablespoon sesame seeds and serve hot.
