Ingredients
- 4 cups stale bread
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 2 whole star anise
- 2 cloves garlic
- ½ tsp salt

Preheat oven to 375°F. Cut 4 cups stale bread into 1-inch cubes and place on a baking sheet.

In a small pan, warm 3 tbsp olive oil with 2 whole star anise and 2 smashed garlic cloves over low heat until fragrant, about 3 minutes.
