Ingredients

  • 8 oz beef jerky
  • 4 whole dried red chili peppers
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar

Instructions

  1. 1

In a small bowl, mix the 2 tbsp soy sauce and 1 tsp sugar until dissolved. Set aside.

  2. 2

Heat the 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the 4 dried red chili peppers and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

  3. 3

Add the 8 oz beef jerky to the skillet. Pour the soy sauce mixture over the jerky and toss to coat. Cook, stirring, until the jerky is heated through and slightly caramelized, about 3-4 minutes.

  4. 4

Sprinkle the 1 tbsp sesame seeds over the jerky and toss to combine. Cook for another minute until the seeds are lightly toasted and the jerky is glossy.

  5. 5

Remove from heat and serve warm or at room temperature.
