Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1 tbsp sumac
  • ½ tsp allspice
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ¾ cup plain yogurt
  • ¼ cup fresh mint or parsley (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp pomegranate molasses or lemon juice

Instructions

    Mix ground lamb with sumac, allspice, cumin, and a pinch each of salt and pepper until just combined.

    Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.

    Add lamb mixture and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through, ~8 minutes.

    Stir yogurt, minced garlic, and pomegranate molasses together in a small bowl until smooth.

    Transfer lamb to a plate and drizzle generously with garlic-yogurt sauce.
