Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 6 oz tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 whole roma tomatoes
  • 1.5 tsp chili powder
  • ½ cup jalapeños (sliced, optional)

Heat oven to 400°F. Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up with a spoon, until no pink remains, about 5 minutes.

  2. 2

Stir in chili powder and a pinch of salt. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  3. 3

Spread tortilla chips on a sheet pan. Scatter seasoned beef over the chips, then top with cheddar cheese.

  4. 4

Bake for 3–4 minutes until cheese melts completely.

Dice the tomatoes. Top nachos with fresh tomatoes and jalapeños. Serve immediately.
