Ingredients
- 1 pound tuna steak
- 1 large avocado
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Pat the 1 lb tuna steak dry with paper towels and season both sides with the 0.5 tsp salt and 0.25 tsp black pepper.

Heat the 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over high heat until shimmering, about 2 minutes. Add the tuna and sear for 1-2 minutes per side until the outside is browned but the center is still rare.

Remove the tuna from the skillet and let it rest for 2 minutes. Slice the 1 large avocado and arrange on a plate.

Thinly slice the rested tuna against the grain and lay it over the avocado. Drizzle with the 3 tbsp soy sauce and serve immediately.
