Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups sushi rice
  • ½ pound sashimi-grade fish (e.g., tuna or salmon)
  • 2 whole abalone
  • ¼ pound octopus
  • ½ cup daikon radish
  • 2 sheets nori (seaweed)

Instructions

    Cook the 1.5 cups sushi rice according to package directions, about 15 minutes, until tender and slightly sticky.

    While rice cooks, thinly slice the 0.5 pound sashimi-grade fish, 2 abalone, and 0.25 pound octopus into bite-size pieces.

    Peel and julienne the 0.5 cup daikon radish into thin matchsticks.

    Divide the cooked rice between 2 bowls. Arrange the sliced fish, abalone, and octopus on top.
