Ingredients

  • 4 oz smoked salmon or gravlax
  • 6 oz Swedish meatballs or herring in cream sauce
  • 3 oz aged cheddar or creamy Västerbotten cheese
  • 4 slices pumpernickel or rye bread
  • ½ cup pickled cucumber or lingonberry jam
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill

Instructions

    Arrange bread slices on a board and spread lightly with butter.

    Tear or fold salmon into rustic pieces and mound on one corner of the board.

    Add meatballs or herring, cheese chunks, and pickled vegetables in separate clusters around the board.
