- 6 oz hard cheese (aged gouda or havarti), cubed or sliced
- 4 oz pickled herring or smoked mackerel
- 1.5 cups mixed pickled vegetables (cucumber, beets, red onion)
- 8 slices dark rye bread or crisp bread, sliced
