Ingredients
- 6 oz smoked salmon or gravlax
- 1 loaf, sliced rye or pumpernickel bread
- 4 whole, halved hard-boiled eggs
- 8 oz creamy cheese (brie, camembert, or Danish cheese)
- 1 jar (8 oz) pickled herring or cucumber
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp fresh dill and chives (or both), chopped
- 2 tbsp butter

Arrange bread slices on a board or platter. Spread lightly with butter and a thin layer of Dijon mustard.
