Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 medium potatoes
  • ½ cup green peas
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups oil
  • ¼ cup green chutney
  • ¼ cup red chutney

    Boil potatoes until tender, then peel and mash coarsely.

    Sauté cumin seeds and onion until golden, add peas and mashed potatoes.

    Season with garam masala and salt, cook for 2 minutes, then cool.

    Make a stiff dough with flour, water, and a little oil, rest for 30 minutes.

    Divide dough into balls, roll into thin circles, cut in half, form cones.

    Fill cones with potato mixture, seal edges with water, and shape into triangles.

    Deep fry in hot oil until golden brown and crispy, drain on paper towels.
