Ingredients

  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 6 oz beef kielbasa or summer sausage, sliced into half-moons
  • 4 oz deli ham or smoked pork, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes (canned or fresh)
  • ½ cup cornichons or pickles, sliced (plus 2 tbsp brine)
  • ½ cup sour cream

Instructions

    Heat broth in a large pot over medium-high until steam rises, about 2 minutes.

    Add kielbasa, ham, tomatoes, cornichons, and pickle brine. Stir and simmer for 8 minutes.

    Remove from heat. Stir in sour cream until smooth and fully incorporated.

    Taste and adjust salt and pepper. Ladle into bowls and serve hot with crusty baguette.
