Ingredients
- 2 whole garlic bulbs
- 6 slices bacon slices
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- 1
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the top off each of the 2 garlic bulbs to expose the cloves, and place each on a large piece of aluminum foil.
- 2
Drizzle 1 tablespoon olive oil over the cut garlic, then sprinkle with 0.5 teaspoon black pepper. Wrap the foil tightly around each bulb to form a packet.
- 3
Wrap 3 slices of bacon around each foil-wrapped garlic bulb, securing with toothpicks if needed. Place the wrapped bulbs on a baking sheet.
- 4
Roast for 35-40 minutes, until the garlic is soft and the bacon is browned and crispy. Check by piercing the garlic through the foil with a knife—it should slide in easily.
- 5
Let rest for 5 minutes before unwrapping. Serve warm, squeezing the soft garlic out of the skins to spread on bread or mix into dishes.
