Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ cup milk
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup jam
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- 1
In a medium bowl, whisk together the 1 cup flour and 1 teaspoon baking powder. In a small bowl, beat the 1 egg with the 0.5 cup milk until combined.
- 2
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir until just combined; the batter should be slightly lumpy. Do not overmix.
- 3
Heat a lightly oiled skillet or griddle over medium heat. Drop spoonfuls of batter (about 1 tablespoon each) to form small donut holes, cooking in batches without crowding.
- 4
Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the bottoms are golden, about 2 minutes. Flip and cook until the other side is golden and cooked through, about 1-2 minutes more.
- 5
While still warm, roll each donut hole in the 0.25 cup powdered sugar. Make a small slit in each and fill with the 0.25 cup jam. Serve immediately.
