Ingredients
- 1.25 lbs pork shoulder or butt, diced into 1-inch cubes
- 30 oz black beans, canned (2 cans)
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced
- 1.5 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp cumin
- 1.5 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 whole orange (juiced)
- 2 whole bay leaves

Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering, about 90 seconds.

Add diced pork and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned on all sides, about 6–7 minutes.

Stir in diced onion, smoked paprika, and cumin. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Pour in broth and add bay leaves. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 8 minutes.

Drain and rinse the beans, then stir into the skillet. Add orange juice and simmer 2 minutes.
