Ingredients

  • 6 oz pork belly, thinly sliced (or 6 oz)
  • 2 buns steamed gua bao buns (store-bought, 2 count)
  • ½ medium cucumber, cut into thin matchsticks
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 3 tbsp roasted peanuts, crushed

Instructions

    Toss cucumber matchsticks with white vinegar and a pinch of salt. Set aside.

    Heat a skillet over medium-high heat until it shimmers, about 90 seconds.

    Add pork belly slices and cook without stirring until edges crisp and brown, ~2 minutes per side.

    Warm gua bao buns according to package directions (usually 30 seconds in a steamer or microwave).
