Ingredients

  • 2 pounds pork shoulder
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup white vinegar
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 2 medium carrots
  • 2 stalks celery
  • ¼ cup cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 leaves bay leaves
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

    Cut pork into chunks and season with black pepper.

    Sear pork in a hot pot until browned on all sides.

    Add garlic, bay leaves, soy sauce, vinegar, and water.

    Simmer covered for 45 minutes until pork is tender.

    Add sliced carrots and celery, cook for 10 more minutes.
