Ingredients

  • 1 lb pizza dough
  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 oz pepperoni slices
  • ½ medium red onion
  • ½ cup banana peppers
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat oven to 475°F with a pizza stone or baking sheet inside. Roll out the 1 lb pizza dough on a floured surface to a 12-inch round.

  2. 2

Transfer dough to a piece of parchment paper. Brush the top with 1 tbsp olive oil, then spread 0.5 cup pizza sauce evenly, leaving a 1-inch border.

  3. 3

Sprinkle 2 cups shredded mozzarella over the sauce. Arrange 3 oz pepperoni slices on top, then scatter 0.5 medium red onion (thinly sliced) and 0.5 cup banana peppers.

  4. 4

Slide the parchment with the pizza onto the hot stone or sheet. Bake until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and browned in spots, about 12-15 minutes.

  5. 5

Let the pizza cool for 2 minutes, then slice and serve hot.
