Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry sheet
  • 2 medium pears
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out the 1 puff pastry sheet on a baking sheet and prick it all over with a fork.

  2. 2

Peel and core the 2 pears, then slice thinly. Arrange the pear slices over the pastry, leaving a 1-inch border.

  3. 3

Mix the 2 tbsp brown sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon in a small bowl. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the pears.

  4. 4

Dot the top with the 1 tbsp butter cut into small pieces. Fold the pastry edges over the pears to create a rustic crust.

  5. 5

Bake for 18-20 minutes, until the pastry is golden and puffed and the pears are tender. Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing.
