Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • ½ cup chocolate syrup

Instructions

  1. 1

In a medium bowl, whisk together the 1 cup flour, 2 tsp baking powder, and 2 tbsp sugar. Make a well in the center.

  2. 2

Add the 1 cup milk and 1 egg to the well. Whisk until just combined; a few lumps are fine. Do not overmix.

  3. 3

Heat a lightly oiled griddle or large skillet over medium heat. Pour 1/4 cup batter per pancake. Cook until bubbles form on top, about 2 minutes.

  4. 4

Flip and cook until golden brown on the other side, about 1-2 minutes. Repeat with remaining batter.

  5. 5

Stack pancakes on plates and drizzle generously with the 1/2 cup chocolate syrup. Serve warm.
