Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup walnuts
  • ¼ cup maple syrup

Instructions

  1. 1

In a bowl, whisk 1 cup flour, 1 tsp baking powder, and a pinch of salt. In another bowl, beat 1 egg with 1 cup milk.

  2. 2

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir until just combined; the batter should be slightly lumpy. Do not overmix.

  3. 3

Heat a lightly oiled skillet over medium. Pour in half the batter and cook until bubbles form on top, about 2-3 minutes.

  4. 4

Flip and cook until golden brown on the other side, about 2 minutes. Repeat with remaining batter.

  5. 5

Top the pancake with 0.5 cup walnuts and drizzle with 0.25 cup maple syrup. Serve warm.
