Ingredients
- 1 lb biała kiełbasa (Polish white sausage)
- 1 medium, sliced yellow onion
- 1 large, cored and sliced into wedges apple (tart variety like Granny Smith)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar or white vinegar
- 2 tsp whole grain mustard
- ½ tsp caraway seeds (optional but traditional)

Slice the kielbasa into 1/2-inch-thick coins.

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Sear kielbasa 2 minutes per side until golden brown, then transfer to a plate.

Add sliced onion to the same skillet. Cook, stirring often, until soft and caramelized, about 5 minutes.

Stir in apple slices, caraway seeds, vinegar, and mustard. Cook 3 minutes until apples are just tender but not mushy.
