Ingredients

  • 400 g kaymak (clotted cream), cold or at room temperature
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • ½ cup walnuts, roughly chopped
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Cut kaymak into 4 thick slices or 8 bite-sized chunks. Pat dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

Heat butter in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat until it foams and smells nutty, ~90 seconds.

  3. 3

Gently lay kaymak pieces into the hot butter without crowding. Fry 2 minutes per side until golden-brown and crispy at the edges.

  4. 4

Transfer kaymak to a serving plate. Pour the warm honey over the top.

  5. 5

Scatter walnuts and a pinch of salt and cinnamon over the honey. Serve immediately while still warm and melting.
