Ingredients
- 12 whole oysters on the half shell
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
- 1 clove garlic
- 4 whole bread slices
Instructions
- 1
Preheat the broiler. In a small bowl, mash the 4 tbsp butter with the 2 tbsp chopped parsley and 1 minced garlic clove until well combined.
- 2
Arrange the 12 oysters on a baking sheet, nestled in salt or crumpled foil to keep them level. Spoon about 1 tsp of the herb butter onto each oyster.
- 3
Broil the oysters 4-5 inches from the heat until the butter is melted and bubbling and the edges of the oysters just curl, about 3-4 minutes.
- 4
Meanwhile, toast the 4 bread slices until golden and crisp. Serve the oysters hot with the toasted bread for sopping up the buttery juices.
