Ingredients
- 8 oz pasta
- 8 oz mushrooms
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp parsley
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Instructions
- 1
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the 8 oz pasta and cook until al dente, about 9-11 minutes. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.
- 2
While pasta cooks, slice the 8 oz mushrooms and mince the 2 garlic cloves.
- 3
In a large skillet, melt the 2 tbsp butter over medium heat. Add the mushrooms and cook until golden and browned, about 8-10 minutes.
- 4
Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- 5
Pour in the 1 cup heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Cook until slightly thickened, about 3-4 minutes.
- 6
Add the drained pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat. If too thick, add reserved pasta water a splash at a time.
- 7
Season with the 0.5 tsp salt and 0.25 tsp black pepper. Garnish with the 2 tbsp chopped parsley and serve hot.
