- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup mixed berries
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp ketchup

Preheat oven to 375°F. In a bowl, mix 1 lb ground beef, 1 egg, and 1/2 cup breadcrumbs until just combined. Shape into a loaf and place in a 9x5 inch loaf pan.

In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup mixed berries and 2 tbsp sugar. Cook over medium heat, stirring, until berries soften and release juices, about 5 minutes. Set aside.

Spread 2 tbsp ketchup over the meatloaf, then spoon the berry compote on top. Bake until the meatloaf is cooked through and reaches 160°F, about 25 minutes. Let rest 5 minutes before slicing.
