Ingredients
- 2 whole bolillo or telera rolls
- ½ lb ground beef
- ½ cup refried beans
- 2 slices sliced cheese (like Monterey Jack)
- ¼ cup salsa
- 2 tbsp crema or sour cream

Season the 0.5 lb ground beef with salt and pepper, then shape into 2 thin patties. Cook in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned and cooked through, about 4 minutes per side.

Split the 2 rolls and toast the cut sides in the same skillet over medium heat until golden, about 2 minutes. Spread 0.25 cup refried beans on the bottom halves.

Place a cooked patty on each bottom half, top with 1 slice cheese each, and add lettuce, tomato, onion, and a spoonful of salsa.
