Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry sheet
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 large egg
- 1 to taste salt and pepper

Preheat oven to 400°F. Roll out the 1 puff pastry sheet on a floured surface and cut into 4 equal rectangles.

In a skillet over medium heat, cook 1 lb ground beef and 1 diced onion until beef is browned and onion is soft, about 8 minutes. Stir in 1 tsp dried thyme, salt, and pepper.

Spoon the beef mixture onto half of each pastry rectangle, leaving a border. Fold the other half over and press edges with a fork to seal.

Beat 1 egg and brush over the tops of the pies. Cut small slits for steam to escape.
