Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp matcha powder
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 whole egg
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat oven to 350°F. Cream butter and sugar in a bowl until pale and fluffy, about 2 minutes.

  2. 2

Beat in egg and vanilla until combined, then fold in flour until just mixed.

  3. 3

Divide dough in half. Whisk matcha powder into one half until the color is even and bright green.

  4. 4

Fold white chocolate chips into the plain dough, then drop alternating spoonfuls of plain and matcha dough onto a sheet pan.

  5. 5

Swirl the two colors together with a toothpick or knife for a marble effect.

  6. 6

Bake 12–15 minutes until pale golden at the edges but still soft in the center.
