Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. 1

Cut the 1.5 lb chicken thighs into 1.5 inch chunks and place in a bowl. Add 1 cup yogurt, 2 tsp garam masala, 1 tsp garlic powder, and 1 tsp salt. Mix well to coat every piece.

  2. 2

Thread the chicken onto skewers, pressing pieces together. Brush all sides with the 2 tbsp vegetable oil.

  3. 3

Preheat the broiler to high and place the skewers on a foil-lined baking sheet. Broil 6 inches from the heat until the chicken is charred at the edges and cooked through, about 10 minutes, turning once halfway.

  4. 4

Rest the skewers for 2 minutes, then slide the chicken off and serve hot with lemon wedges or fresh cilantro if you like.
