Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked sushi rice
- 4 sheets nori sheets
- 1 medium, julienned carrot
- 4 oz cooked protein (e.g., ham, beef, or imitation crab)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- ½ tsp salt

Season the 2 cups cooked rice with 1 tbsp sesame oil and 0.5 tsp salt; mix well and let cool slightly.

Lightly sauté the 1 julienned carrot in a dry pan over medium heat until slightly softened, about 2 minutes.

Place a nori sheet on a bamboo mat. Spread 1/2 cup rice evenly over the sheet, leaving a 1 inch strip at the top.

Layer the carrot and 1 oz protein in a line across the rice. Roll tightly, wet the bare strip with water, and press to seal.
