Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried white beans
  • ½ pound pork shoulder
  • 2 medium potatoes
  • 2 medium carrots
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 6 cups water

Instructions

    Soak beans overnight, then drain and rinse.

    In a large pot, heat oil and brown the meat chunks on all sides.

    Add chopped onion and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
