Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 28 oz canned crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. 1

Heat the 2 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the 1 diced onion and cook until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.

  2. 2

Add the 2 minced garlic cloves and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute, stirring constantly.

  3. 3

Pour in the 28 oz crushed tomatoes, 1 tsp dried oregano, and 0.5 tsp salt. Stir to combine.

  4. 4

Simmer the sauce over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened and flavors meld, about 10 minutes. Taste and adjust salt if needed.

  5. 5

Serve immediately over cooked pasta, or let cool and store in the fridge for up to 5 days.
