Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 whole eggs
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • 2 quarts neutral oil (for frying)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

    Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.

    Whisk eggs and milk in another bowl until combined.

    Pour wet mixture into dry ingredients; stir until a thick batter forms.

    Transfer batter to a piping bag fitted with a large round tip.

    Heat oil to 350°F in a deep pot or Dutch oven using a thermometer.

    Carefully pipe 3-inch donut rings into hot oil. Fry 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown.
