Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup sugar, divided
  • 2.5 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted (plus 2 tbsp for glaze)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease two 6-cavity donut pans with cooking spray.

  2. 2

Whisk together flour, 0.5 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.

  3. 3

Whisk milk, eggs, and 3 tbsp melted butter in another bowl until smooth.

  4. 4

Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Stir until just combined—batter should be thick.

  5. 5

Transfer batter to a piping bag. Pipe into donut cavities until three-quarters full.

  6. 6

Bake for 8–10 minutes until a toothpick inserted into a donut comes out clean.

  7. 7

Cool in pan for 5 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

  8. 8

Whisk powdered sugar, 2 tbsp melted butter, and 3 tbsp milk until smooth and pourable.

  9. 9

Dip top of each cooled donut into glaze, letting excess drip off. Set on parchment.

  10. 10

Let glaze set for 5 minutes. Serve at room temperature.
