Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1.75 cups whole milk
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

    Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl until combined.

    In another bowl, whisk eggs and milk together, then stir in melted butter.

    Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined—lumps are fine, don't overmix.

    Preheat waffle iron for 2 minutes until it stops steaming and the ready light comes on.

    Lightly grease the iron, then pour 0.75 cup batter in and close. Cook until golden brown and steam stops, ~3 minutes.

    Transfer to a plate and repeat with remaining batter. Serve warm with your choice of toppings.
