Ingredients

  • 1 shot (1.5 oz) espresso or strong brewed coffee
  • 8 oz whole milk, cold
  • ½ tbsp sugar (optional)
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon or cocoa powder (optional garnish)

Instructions

    Pour cold milk into a metal pitcher. Submerge the steam wand just below the surface and turn on steam.

    Angle the pitcher to create a whirlpool. When milk reaches 150°F or is too hot to hold, stop steaming.

    Tap the pitcher on the counter to break large bubbles. Swirl gently until foam is smooth and glossy.

    Pour espresso into a 10-12 oz cup. Slowly pour steamed milk, holding back foam with a spoon.
