Ingredients
- 10 oz mozzarella cheese (fresh, low-moisture)
- 6 sheets phyllo dough sheets
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup water
- ¼ cup pistachios or walnuts (chopped)
- 1 tbsp rose water or lemon juice

Stir sugar, water, and rose water in a small saucepan over medium heat until sugar dissolves, ~3 minutes. Pour into a bowl to cool.

Cut mozzarella into thin sticks about 3 inches long. Pat dry with paper towels.

Lay one phyllo sheet flat. Brush lightly with melted butter. Place a cheese stick at one edge, roll tightly, then fold in the sides like a burrito.
