Ingredients
- 1.5 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 medium bell pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- 1
Grate the 1 medium onion and mince the 2 garlic cloves. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, grated onion, garlic, 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp black pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
- 2
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty about 1 inch thick. Press the center slightly to make a shallow indentation.
- 3
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Brush the patties with 1 tbsp of the olive oil.
- 4
Grill the patties for 5-6 minutes per side, until charred with grill marks and cooked to your desired doneness (internal temperature of 160°F for medium).
- 5
While the patties cook, slice the 2 bell peppers into wide strips and toss with the remaining 1 tbsp olive oil. Grill the peppers for 3-4 minutes per side, until softened and charred in spots.
- 6
Remove the patties and peppers from the grill. Let the patties rest for 5 minutes before serving with the grilled peppers.
