Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken gizzards
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- ½ tsp black pepper
Instructions
- 1
Rinse the 1 lb chicken gizzards and pat dry. Trim any excess fat or sinew, then cut each gizzard into bite-sized pieces, about 1 inch.
- 2
In a bowl, mix 2 tbsp soy sauce, 2 minced garlic cloves, 1 tbsp honey, 1 tbsp vegetable oil, and 0.5 tsp black pepper. Add the gizzards and toss to coat evenly.
- 3
Thread the gizzards onto skewers, dividing them equally. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 20 minutes first to prevent burning.
- 4
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the gizzards are browned and charred at the edges and cooked through.
- 5
Brush with any remaining marinade during the last 2 minutes of cooking. Serve hot, sprinkled with optional sesame seeds or chopped scallions if you like.
