Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1.5 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp each salt and pepper
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt (for tzatziki)
  • ½ lemon lemon (juiced)
  • 2 pieces pita bread
  • 1 cup total tomato, red onion, and cucumber (chopped)

Instructions

    Place chicken breast on a cutting board. Slice horizontally into two thin cutlets, then cut into 1/2-inch strips.

    Mix oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Toss chicken strips with the spice mixture.

    Stir Greek yogurt with lemon juice and a pinch of salt in a small bowl. Set tzatziki aside.

    Heat olive oil in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high until it shimmers, about 90 seconds.

    Add chicken strips and cook, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through, 5-6 minutes.

    Warm pita bread in the skillet for 15 seconds per side, or wrap in a clean dish towel.

    Spread tzatziki on each warm pita. Layer with cooked chicken, tomato, red onion, and cucumber.
