Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1.25 cups milk
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 lb fresh strawberries
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder

Instructions

    Preheat waffle iron. Whisk flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt in a bowl.

    Whisk eggs and milk together, then fold into flour mixture until just combined—some lumps are fine.

    Pour batter into waffle iron until 3/4 full. Cook until golden and crispy, ~4 minutes per waffle.

    While waffles cook, whip heavy cream with 1 tbsp sugar until soft peaks form.

    Hull strawberries, slice in half, and toss with 1 tbsp sugar to release juice.
