  • 1 lb konafa (shredded pastry)
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ¾ cup honey
  • ¼ cup water
  • ¼ cup pistachios, chopped (optional garnish)

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix honey and water in a small saucepan, then heat until it just begins to steam. Remove from heat and set aside.

    Spread half the buttered konafa into a 9x13-inch baking dish, pressing down lightly. Scatter cheese evenly over the top.
